Do you believe in fairies? When you are young and want to start working, you have to. Be prepare to meet one of them, but only if you believe in them and yourself. Preparation for that day is one of the most important tasks on your schedule in that period. Go for soft skills training, practice foreign languages, read business articles, talk with friend who already has job, think about job you would like to get and do it every day. Cinderella met her fairy godmother because she was positive although she was working and living in very bad conditions. As of that day her life was changed. Yours will be too.
Once upon a time, four months after my employment, there has been a lady half Pole half Bulgarian who came to me and said that I will not work as PA to our GM. I felt like I was stroked by lightning so I did not listen her what she said after that. After a while I found out that I am not fired but promoted to newly open position. I did not know anything about HR but she was sure I am the right person for the position. She was great mentor and leader. She helped me to build foundation for my future and taught me to be HR manager. Two years were invested in my training and development in this area and I have invested 3 more so here I am 17 years in HR.
I suggest all fresh graduates to do their best on their first job and some fairy godmother will notice them.
